Credit Valley Railway Custom Painting Services
Credit Valley Railway is proud to offer professional custom painting of plastic and brass
models: freight and passenger rolling stock, diesels and steam locomotives in HO, O and G scale.
The Process:
· We determine availability of correct paint and decals
· We inspect and test the model before forwarding it to our painter.
· Our painter disassembles and cleans the model before sandblasting the parts to be painted.
· Loose parts on brass models are soldered and/or repaired. No extra charge for minor repairs.
· Primer coat is applied to all surfaces to be painted.
· Paint is applied in thin layers so that details remain visible and crisp.
· Gloss coat is applied to seal and protect the paint.
· Decals are applied: correct heralds, numbers and all reporting marks.
· Gloss coat is applied to seal and protect the decals.
· Satin or flat finishing coat is applied.
· Light, medium or heavy weathering is applied (optional at no extra charge)
· Glazing and operating lights are installed where appropriate.
· We inspect and test the model before contacting the customer for payment and pick up (or shipping).
